Chattanooga Pride Board Elections

The Pride Board elections held on December 22, 2024 attracted quite a number of community members. Over 50 attendees gathered on Zoom to elect the new Pride board.

With two positions open for election - a private poll was issued for the positions of President and Community Liaison. After each candidate introduced themselves and the audience was allowed to ask questions, the voting began.

After polling closed, the election committee, consisting of Marcus Ellsworth, Johnathan Berry, Elizabeth Haley, Kye Sayers, Larry Varnell reviewed the results. The votes were in - and the margins were narrow!

For president, the community elected Danielle Stubbs. For community liaison, the community elected Adam McElhaney.

The Full Committee:

Danielle Stubbs – President

Jessica Brown – Vice President

Kale Hickey – Treasurer

Adam McElhaney– Community Liaison

Dillon Finnell – Secretary

After the election, President Stubbs nominated Danielle Quesenberry as a chairwoman - the board has agreed; Elle will be joining the board as calendar chair.

President Stubbs’ approach is Pride 365! She says, “This is Our Pride, 365!

Fostering relationships with everyone in the community, going back to the grassroots of TVP and creating a stronger foundation for the many people that support us be it allies, friends, families, and the youth of tomorrow will be the focus of 2025!”

The first meeting of the year will be January 18, 2025. After the initial meeting, the board intends to open the meetings to the public. Stay tuned! There’s a lot in store for 2025!
